PRIDE CAMPAIGN

The PTO strives to make this school an incredible, inspiring and inclusive environment for all families. In the coming weeks you will be hearing more about how the PTO helps to ensure that our Wildcat community remains at the highest caliber as an innovative place for learning.

Our PRIDE Campaign is our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year, and we use these funds for the important programs and the influential people that are with our children every school day.  We also raise money for things like field trips, special programs, school improvements, and much needed classroom supplies. Doing the bulk of our fundraising at the start of the year ensures that we can cover these programs and limit requests for additional funds throughout the year.

The majority (about 56% of our budget) is allocated for our assistant teachers.  Teachers rely heavily on them to be able to work daily in their rooms, to alleviate the pressure of larger class sizes, and also to appropriately challenge or assist our kids.  They are an INTEGRAL part of our teaching staff and reaching our fundraising goals ensures we can retain them.

While we appreciate a donation of any size, we think it’s important for you to realize that it costs approximately $410,000 each year for our children to receive all of the benefits listed above.  So while $600 is the suggested donation, we understand that some families may be able to give more, and some less.

PTO Party Book Events

In addition to the PRIDE and Move-a-Thon events, the PTO organizes small events throughout the year ranging from  Mom’s Night Out, Halloween Carnival, Father Daughter Dance and more. Each event is hosted by a group of Washington Parents as a way to help foster community involvement and raise much needed funds.

The first Party Book Event of the year is Mom’s Night Out.
