Thank you Washington Wildcats!!!

So many accolades to go around. First, give yourself a big pat on the back for showing up and contributing with your best effort. Next, give your fellow parents a high-five in the hallway for the ways they have shown up. It takes a wonderfully powerful village to accomplish fundraising at this level, and that is exactly what we have here. Congratulations!

Thank you to the parents and students who have supported the PRIDE FUN FRIDAYS! The efforts were tremendous and reception wonderful. An extra shout out to Michael Paskin and Angel from yard duty for getting dunked this AM – we raised an extra $443! Thank you to all of the volunteers, room parents, PTO board (especially Tara & Vanessa for managing donations, Shannon for communications and Elizabeth for coordinating volunteers to support each activity), and faithful stewards who helped in a variety of ways. Without the contributions of many, this could not have been done.

Thank you to Mrs. Christina Giguiere and the office staff and assistants who gave extra time, energy, and effort to help us achieve this goal.
Thank you to the teachers and room parents who have sent out extra communications on our behalf to rally everyone to support our goal.

Thank you to the following business booster supporters:

What an amazing community we have!
Thank you for your support and we are happily signing off for the last time regarding PRIDE. But before we do … if you have yet to donate, the form to the right is still accepting donation. Donate any time as you know the real goal of the PTO far exceeds the PRIDE goal which simply gives us a great head start to the year.

The Washington Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) fund critical programs that cost $410,000 to deliver. These programs, which are not covered by the district, directly impact the quality of your child’s education and include the following:

  • Assistant Teachers: The presence of these additional educators in our classrooms reduces the impact of class size, and allows for more direct focus on your individual students’ needs, whether for extra help or more advanced skills.
  • Music, Art, P.E., and STEM programs: These programs round out our children’s educational experience, and have proven positive impacts on child development, well-being, and learning.
  • Field Trips: Provide hands-on, experiential and exciting learning opportunities for our children.

Our PRIDE campaign goal is to raise half of our annual budget = $205,000, with 100% community participation. Our focus is on building the community as a whole, 100% of us moving toward the shared goal of enriched education for our students.

Give what you can. We take PRIDE in our diverse community with students and families from all walks of life. Each and every donation counts, no matter the amount. Every single dollar gets us one step closer to our goal of furthering the educational experience of every child, every day, at Washington Elementary.

Thank you for your support of our wonderful and unique school and the programs that we, the entire community, support as members of the PTO. Let’s continue to work together on these important attributes that keep our school community so special:

Positive Attitude
Respect & Responsibility
